I know, you’re here for your free cozy mysteries. You’ll get to them if you keep scrolling, I promise!
Free!!! I love free things, free books, free food, free time, I want it all!
I’ve got free books for you today. If it’s free food you’re after I suggest Costco around supper time, my goodness, have you ever seen all their samples! Terrible for my diet, so I avoid that place. As for free time, well quit your job. Aren’t I just full of good advice today?
Jokes aside (I thought I was hilarious, by the way), my book advice is a little bit better than any other advice I have to offer. Plus, these books are all free, so grab them while you can.
What is a Cozy Mystery?
I’m a bit of a talker (typer), I’m sure you know this. All you have to do is sign up for my email list, you’ll have to read (scroll past) 1000 or so words before you even get to the ‘confirm’ button. Feel free to sign up and find out for yourself, the box is right on the sidebar. 😉
Now, what is a cozy mystery? It’s a term I’ve seen come up time and time again as a book blogger, but I’ve always shrugged, thought I only read love stories and moved on. Now, I’m trying to broaden my horizons and read new things. In my search for Halloween books (I plan my reading 6 weeks in advance, don’t judge me) I kept seeing cozy mysteries mentioned and had no idea it was such a popular genre.
I had to consult my good friend Mr. Wikipedia to figure out what exactly a cozy mystery was. If you’re as curious as I was, I’ll save you the search, you’re welcome. Cozy mysteries “are a subgenre of crime fiction in which sex and violence are downplayed or treated humorously, and the crime and detection take place in a small, socially intimate community.” Now, it’s no secret I love a good steamy scene but I can definitely get behind downplaying the violence.
Since we have that figured out, I guess I should give you the free books, shouldn’t I?
Please remember prices are subject to change without warning so double check the price before you one click and if you find anything that’s no longer free, let me know so I can get rid of it.
