Free!!! I love free things, free books, free food, free time, I want it all!

I’ve got free books for you today. If it’s free food you’re after I suggest Costco around supper time, my goodness, have you ever seen all their samples! Terrible for my diet, so I avoid that place. As for free time, well quit your job. Aren’t I just full of good advice today?

Jokes aside (I thought I was hilarious, by the way), my book advice is a little bit better than any other advice I have to offer. Plus, these books are all free, so grab them while you can.

What is a Cozy Mystery?

Now, what is a cozy mystery? It’s a term I’ve seen come up time and time again as a book blogger, but I’ve always shrugged, thought I only read love stories and moved on. Now, I’m trying to broaden my horizons and read new things. In my search for Halloween books (I plan my reading 6 weeks in advance, don’t judge me) I kept seeing cozy mysteries mentioned and had no idea it was such a popular genre.

I had to consult my good friend Mr. Wikipedia to figure out what exactly a cozy mystery was. If you’re as curious as I was, I’ll save you the search, you’re welcome. Cozy mysteries “are a subgenre of crime fiction in which sex and violence are downplayed or treated humorously, and the crime and detection take place in a small, socially intimate community.” Now, it’s no secret I love a good steamy scene but I can definitely get behind downplaying the violence.

Since we have that figured out, I guess I should give you the free books, shouldn’t I?
