Self care is, in my opinion, the most important part of a daily routine. In fact, every new year, I set a self care related resolution for myself. I should also mention how I usually fall off that bandwagon before I fall off the eat well and exercise one.
What is Self Care?
According to the dictionary, self care is “the practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress.”
Notice the word active, it’s not something that happens by accident. You have to make a decision, set a goal and very deliberately follow through.
This taking care of ourselves thing is hard! But today is a new day and a new chance to commit to caring for yourself in the best way you possibly can. Let’s give it a real shot this time!
