Review:

These three star reviews just might be the hardest to write. I didn’t love the book; I didn’t hate it or anything. The story just didn’t do it for me. I’m sure I’ll read more Sariah Wilson books in the future. I’m also sure if a friend wanted to read a book about celebrities and social media, I’d recommend this one. There was just something missing for me.

I love reading a good Cinderella story and had such high hopes for this book. But I’ve found myself in a situation where I loved the idea of the book more than I loved the book itself. The book was well written, and the characters were well developed, but I couldn’t get into it. I wanted to, I really did it just didn’t happen.

The first kiss was filled with so much anticipation and flirting. Chase was such a sweetheart to Zoe, a perfect gentleman even with Zoe being so insecure and average. Chases tweets were my favorite part of the book and it made me smile every time he put a ‘z’ in them. I enjoyed the flirting and witty banter between Chase and Zoe and the messages they sent each other.

There were many times this book made me smile but there were just as many where it made me cringe. Perhaps that’s why I couldn’t get invested in it. I love little awkward moments but this book took it overboard and used a young lady seemed insecure from the get go. Every time I tried to put myself in her position I found myself upset and embraced in a, I’m going to go to my room and cry until everyone forgets sort of way, not a, I can’t wait for Prince Charming to save me way.

Overall the book was what it was. The idea of being able to reach a celebrity over social media is very timely right now. I’m sure there’s a part of every young woman who wishes their favorite celebrity would respond to their tweets.

The Baller by Vi Keeland
The Baller Cover

This is one of those books that has been on my to read list forever.

It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster. The famed quarterback decided to bare all. And by all, I don’t mean he told me any of his secrets. No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question. On camera

How can you picture that situation and not want to read more?

Pretty Dead Girls by Monica Murphy

Pretty Dead Girls Cover

Pretty Little Liars was one of my favorite TV shows and the summary of this book reminded me so much of that. While I usually read romance, I enjoy a good murder mystery. So, I’m looking forward to starting this book. The most popular and mean girls in a high school are being murdered. Everyone is on edge, everyone is a suspect. No one knows who to trust. I’m hoping there’s a happy story in the book.
