Welcome to my list of Bookish New Releases for December 22 – 28, 2018. I’m so happy you could join me.

So the holidays are pretty much here! Is everyone excited? Have you finished your shopping yet? I really hope you have, no one wants to be the person running to the store on Christmas Eve trying to find a suitable gift.

Last minute shopping is stressful, and we try to avoid stress as much as we can here. That’s why I send you a monthly self care calendar. You can sign up in the side bar if you’re interested in that. Not only is it super fun but proper self care is necessary this time of the year.

As much as we all like to act as though the holidays are a festive joyous time filled with happiness and cheer, there is a lot of stress under all the fun stuff. Some people find it stressful having to buy gifts, others find it draining having to spend time with their family, or coping through the holidays without a loved one for the first time.

The reason doesn’t necessarily matter and it’s obviously different for everyone. The important thing though is that we’re taking care of ourselves in the best way we know how.

If you’re anything like me, sometimes that self care involves buying and *maybe* reading books.

Here are the amazing books being released this week. The list is a bit shorter than normal. The strangest thing happened as I was trying to get this list made up for you, books were published early! As happy as that makes me, it really made this list difficult.  I guess publishers wanted to get their books out before the holidays.  So with that in mind you can take a look at some of my previous new release lists.
