Comfort Reads: Books that Might Make you Happy
Who doesn’t love a book that can make you happy? A book that can comfort you when your life feels like a bit of a mess.
Books are powerful. They can help you relax after a long day, take your mind off everything that is wrong with the world. Let’s be honest, we need that now more than ever.
I think everyone could benefit from a light feel-good read from time to time and this list of books offers just that. These books might not completely lift your mood, have you smiling and feeling good about your life and the world you live in, but they will take your mind off it for a little while.
These comfort reads are the perfect books to lose yourself in this weekend!
As a book blogger, I have a pretty much limitless supply of shiny new books to read. But truth be told, when life starts to feel a bit overwhelming and out of control, my instinct isn’t to grab the hottest new release romance novels with and incredibly sexy man on the cover. I know, for someone who has her to read list organized in from best to worst abs, it’s shocking!
When I need a comfort read, I tend to turn to book that make me happy. Stories I associate with happier, less stressful, times in my life.
Some of these books are quite old, others have just been released over the last couple years. A few, have even been turned into moves. The one thing they have in common is that they will do their best to take your mind off even the toughest things in life.
You Should Know
Be aware, this is a list of books that might make you happy. The key word being might. We all need comfort right now, a reason to smile, something to help us let go of all the negativity. This isn’t a list of books where everything is amazing, and nothing bad ever happens. Some of these titles are deep, dark and insightful, others are quite the opposite.
