Thrillers to Read in 2020
It can’t always be about fluffy romance and love stories. There are times where I need to read something a little darker, more suspenseful, more thrilling. Which is why I have created a list of all the thrillers I plan to read this summer.
If you’re looking for a list of books that will leave you with feelings of suspense, excitement, anticipation and anxiety – this book list is exactly what you need. Fair warning though, unlike most books on my site, these don’t promise a satisfying happily ever after, in fact for many of them it is the exact opposite.
So get comfortable and lose yourself in one of these engaging tales that will have your heart pumping and your brain working over time to unwind all the strings and figure out the story.

Why I’m Excited About these Books
The Other Mrs by Maria Kubica
It’s not often that I delve into the world of thrillers but when I do Maria Kubica is always a worthwhile author and I’m really looking forward to seeing what this story has to offer.
Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Worbel
Professionally, I’ve done a lot of work in both child protection and corrections. Usually I stay away from books that remind me of my day jobs. But, when I heard this book was inspired by the true story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard it immediately found itself near the top of my to-read list. Her story is one that deals with the realities of Munchousen Syndrome by Proxy and writing a thriller inspired by such a devastatingly heartbreaking story is a big feat and I’m certainly intrigued to see how the author managed it.
The Herd by Andrea Bartz
Apparently I don’t just make reading decisions based on the cover when it comes to romance novels. This cover is gorgeous and I have to know the story. I really have no idea what to expect with it or where it might possibly go, but I absolutely will be reading it shortly.
